U.S. PS Store: no GripShift!?

Hi,

I just got my PS3 for Christmas and was terribly disappointed to find that the game I most wanted to play - GripShift - was not available in the U.S. Store! I set up a U.K. account to check availability there; it is there, as it should be. But it's not in the U.S. Store.

Any ideas on how I can get it, short of buying a £20 prepaid card for the £6.99 game in the U.K. Store?

It should be up again in a couple of weeks. It had to come down briefly while a license renewal gets sorted out.

Interresting. This whole digital distribution future has some interresting issues. I'm guessing the license issue is music related. Regardless you dont have to renew licenses for retail games(unless you do a second printing well after the first one I guess).

No. Patent issue.

You have to renew licenses for retail games if you want to keep selling them at wholesale.

Don't suppose there's been any update on this? I've been rather interested in playing this on the PS3.
